I PURCHASED A GENERATOR ON THE 5 NOVEMBER 2013 FROM MAKRO, EXPLAINED TO THE SALESPERSON WHAT I WAS GOING TO USE IT FOR, ON THE 13 NOVEMBER THE GENERATOR WAS NOT WORKING SO I CALLED MAKRO AND SPOKE TO THE SALESMAN, I TOLD HIM THAT I WANT TO BRING THE GENERATOR IN TO EXCHANGE IT I WANT A REFUND, HE SAID I CANNOT DO THAT, I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THEIR TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT, WHICH IS STEVENS & CO, SO I DID THAT, I WAITED THERE FOR 3 HOURS, THE TECHNICIAN SAID IT NEEDED A SERVICE AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME, AGAIN ON THE 19 NOVEMBER 2013, THE GENERATOR WAS NOT WORKING, I TOOK IT BACK TO THE TECHNICIAN, SAID HE WUD HAVE TO KEEP IT THERE TO SEE WHATS WRONG WITH IT, ON THE 25 NOVEMBER I RECEIVED AN SMS FROM RYOBI INDICATING THAT I MUST PAY R573, 60, SO I WENT THERE COS THE ITEM WAS PURCHASED NOT EVEN A MONTH AND I HAD TO TAKE IT TWICE TO MAKRO TECHNICAL DEPT AND IT IS UNDER GUARANTEE, I WAS THEN TOLD I HAD TO PAY 5000 FOR THE REPAIR, I REFUSED AND WENT STRAIGHT TO MAKRO WITH MY RECEIPT, I TOLD THEM THAT THEIR GENERATOR IS WITH THEIR RYOBI AND DEMANDED A REFUND, BUT WAS TOLD BY THE CONSUMER MANAGER THAT I CANNOT GET A REFUND NOR CAN THEY EXCHANGE THE GENERATOR COS I CAUSED THE GENERATOR TO OVERLOA
