Pathetic Manager/Floor Lady

I bought skinless chicken breasts on the 29/01/13 with an expiry date of 01/02/13. I open the chicken on the 30/01/13 to cook (around 17:40) to get a surprise of off chicken. I drive back to the mall, and request an exchange. The manager/floor lady to the counter and has this look of disbelief on her face, as if I'm lying, but she gives me the refund. I go get another skinless chicken from a different range (not taking from the same range, I wasn't going to take the chance of it being off again) and go to the counter. The price was about R6 more and I said i wasn't going to pay in the difference as this trip has been a waste of time and petrol for me. All she says is "no, we can't, go find something of the same price."
That's when I lost it. I wasted my time and petrol to return a product that wasn't supposed to go bad for another 2 days, for a manager/floor lady to tell me "no", I'm sorry, that is beyond pathetic. I will never step into a pick 'n pay again. she has no people skills and actually doesn't care about the customer. I left in a foul mood and went to Checker's and got my chicken (which wasn't off) and finally had dinner. So thank you Checkers for making things better.
