I have purchased Farmer Brown Chicken braai pack from the Checkers in Fairbridge Mall with my month end shopping at the end of August / start of September.
As the normal person does, I put in in the freezer when I got home. Yesterday, when I defrosted it to cook it, I realised that the chicken was off. All slimy and stinky.
I obviously didn't keep the slip for this purchase as I assumed that everything will be fine (the chicken wasn't even past the sell by date yet) and who in their right mind keep all their food slips, for in case the chicken you bought and froze 1 month ago is off.
Also with this purchase I told the cashier that I have a coupon code. She just put all my stuff through without even asking me for the code. When I realised and ask her about it, she said that I must go and refund my whole trolley and then she'll ring it up again. Why must I go through all this inconvenience with this shop. This is ridiculous service. A true disgrace!!!
I am very disgusted with this. This must be a fault on Checkers' side. With this I have also purchased chicken fillets, which I followed the same procedure with. With this fillets there is nothing wrong.
