On Sat 16 Nov i was at the Eastgate Branch. My purchases amounted to over R1, 000.00 & the cashier processed credit card. I received notification from the bank it went off and she said it did not. I spoke to three managers (names above). I was the made to leave my credit card details with them in the store book (apparently this is standard procedure) I was guaranteed that it is a system error and they need to re-enter my credit card details but it would be refunded when their bank (ABSA) picks up the double- charge. We processed another charge to my CC. I have a signed e-mail from all three confirming that I will be deducted within three working days. On the 17th of November 2013 I received a copy of their bank's message confirming that a refund will be processed in three days. Adele called on Monday and asked that I confirm once this has happened. I said I would contact her. On 19 November 2013 I called Adele and left a message - mes not given. Called Adele again and she will look into it. On the same day - at 17:15 Harriet called and said that the money would only appear in my acc in 7 working days. Is this legal? It was not my error but theirs.
