Lost sense of smell after using Vicks Sinex

I had a cold in middle October. My nose was blocked, so I went to the pharmacy and they handed me Vicks Sinex nasal spray. The instructions said 1-2 sprays every 8 hours. That's 3 times per day. I only used 2 times per day for one week. Since then I have not been able to smell. (or taste).
I contacted P&R via their website and the response I got was shocking. They want me to go to a doctor and have test done, for my account. I saw many post on the internet of similar problems with this product, so in my view, these guys knows what is wrong and how to fix it, but I will first have to spend more money on doctor's bills and hospital bills before they would assist.
Just another corporate company not accepting responsibility for they products.
