Additional scratches on my Fossil

I sent in my Fossil watch for battery replacement and on receiving it back a few weeks later there were loads of additional one directional scratches on my watch's glass that most certainly was not there previously. Almost like who ever had put the battery in let the watch slip and scratched it. I was told the Foschini will sort this out with Fossil. A few days later I was told they could not reach the Fossil manager and then a week later the Foschini Jewelry manager spoke to me on the 27th of October giving me long stories and excuses from Foschini's side and on behalf of Fossil that if I wanted the scratches to be removed I would have to pay to replace the glass and be rid of the scratches sins there were scratches on my watch previously (it was most definitely not 50 or more scratches) and that it is basically not Foschini's fault or Fossils fault??? This is absolutely disgusting service!!! damaging customers property and then wiping your hands clean.
