Despite my repeated requests for Edgars to remove me from their marketing list and despite their false claims that I have been removed from their list, I received yet AGAIN on Friday morning another SMS at 9:38 am. It reads: "Get 10x Thank U Points when you spend R800 or more at Edgars, Red Square or Boardmans this weekend 8 to 10 Nov only! The message was sent from 08393000705951".
To crown all, I received the same message AGAIN yesterday at 9:36 from 083930043958504. It read: "Remember you will get 10x Thank U points this weekend at Edgars, Boardmans, Red Square when you spend R800 or more! "
I am on the national opt out list which Edcon and Edgars ignore completely. I have complained strenuously in the past about this, but it happens over and over again. Even worst is that Edgars claims falsely that they have removed me from their marketing. They also fail to speak to me personally about this matter.
I shall be travelling overseas soon and then I will have to pay once again on my roaming for these messages that I never sollicited and that I do not want to be sent to me.
