Dear Theo, by reffering to another clients question on this forum today:
When referring to no discount from national retailers, bear in mind that they sell new items, not second hand goods.
Be honest, many times your second hand goods prices are higher than new items by many firms.
Knowing how your cost coding work, I understand that many times your group make more than 100% profit on items. THE TRUE PRICE ON AN ITEM DEPEND ON SUPPLY AND DEMAND.
Had none of your franchises implemented a no discount policy, most of them would have either closed their doors by now. Should you wish to implement such policy, get your pricing right.
Cash crusaders were built by the support of south Africans and should remember that South Africans could easily turn their backs on your group.
Don't underestimate the power of social networking and word of mouth.
A wise old man once said: keep your feet flat on the earth. don't turn your back on people.
Your company's success will depend on your decisions, so make them wise
regards
