I went to Claremont cash crusaders and bought a few items. I saw a Philips 24" monitor priced at R695. I took it and continued shopping instore. 5 minutes later, the salesperson came to me telling me he cannot sell me the screen at that price, the actual price should be R1295. This is unprofessional and bad service.
today I contacted cash crusaders head office in cape town. I was told straight that they are not bound by the consumer protection act to sell it at the lower price. This was repeated several times and I did not appreciate the attitude of the management member which should uphold professional standards and adhere to codes and ethics in business practice.
I am deeply disappointed in the manner they handled this manner and feel they should rather close business than treating customers like this..
If management encourages this misleading false advertising practices, then the company as a whole fails.
We need and deserve honest, transparent customer friendly orientated service, not this bad service.
I appeal to all friends, family members and South Africans to express dissatisfaction to others so they could be alerted where to shop and whom to support.
