Homemark
Debit Account without Authorisation

I was contacted twice during January to purchase a tablet of some kind worth over R6000 for R3500. I declined the offer on both occasions, but the money was deducted from my account this morning without my authorisation. It is a large amount for me and this is going to cause my medical aid and bond's debit orders to be rejected with major consequences, bank charges etc. I contacted my bank to reverse the transaction, but they are only allowed to take action after 7 days. I then contacted Gladys at Homemark Customer Care and she said she will get back to me today, which did not happen. I phoned later this afternoon and was advised that it takes 48 hours for someone to get back to you after they have listened to the recordings of the conversations. Who gave them the right to put through the transaction without my authorisation and who is going to pay for all the bankcharges and explain my debit orders being rejected to the bank??? If I do not receive any response by 10 o'clock on the 30th of January 2013, I will have to take further action. Maybe make a case of at the police or get legal represenation for the cost of Homemark...
