Considering all the hullabaloo that Massmart came with when they entered the local market, we thought services will improve in the retail market with increased competition but alas, COSATU could have been correct after all after they resisted the coming in of Massmart. I am not one to complain but I just cannot take it anymore. It is now the umpteenth time that I have returned goods to Makro (Looks like the coming in of Massmart was not of help at all). Recently, we bought a Sunbeam sandwich maker and on using it (the very first time of usage), the screws started coming off. As always, I returned it to the branch. Apart from my troubles with the sandwich maker, I received the most shocking, if not appalling, treatment a customer can ever get. The lady who handled me referred me to a manager, a Mme..something. I was trying to express my grievances to her but she kept hanging up on me. When she was not hanging up on me, she was referring me to their supplier. How I have anything to do with their suppliers, I do not know! They took the sandwich maker and now I have to wait till they take it back to their supplier but in the mean time, what do I use in place of the sandwich maker.
