My wife bought cosmetics from the Red Square store in Canal walk. Because we were away for about 3 weeks on holiday, we were unaware that the store was closed. She decided to to take it to the main Edgars store because they had a cosmetics counter there too and part of the Edcon Group. This was the worse mistake my wife made. Camilla who is the cosmetics manager has absolutely no managerial skills and lacks professionalism when dealing with customers. I was left flabbergasted in the manner in which she spoke to my wife and how she made her feel like a common. The service we received was appalling to say the least and we will not be returning ever. I operate a small business of my own but customer satisfaction is priority and train my staff regularly on how to deal with clients. I understand Edgars cannot be held accountable for the staff`s poor attitude and lack of professional demeanor but this is reflection on the brand.
To Edgars, you have just lost a loyal customer who has been with you for over 15 years, i know its a drop in the ocean but imagine how many other customers you could lose due to "Managers" who are placed in authoritative positions but lack the skills.
