To all prospective clients of Gawie Maritz and his so called GMTM consultancy be advised obtaining any documentation will cause you more grief and time than going directly to Home Affairs.
Especially if you are residing abroad do NOT expect any service from Gawie Maritz.
I reside in Vietnam and submitted a request for Letter of no Impediment 6 months ago. As per the website instruction I waited for 3 months. When nothing materialised I contacted Gawie Maritz who promised me only 14 days more. When yet again nothing materialised I phoned and tried contacting GMTM to no avail for 1 month period. I eventually had to get help from family still residing in SA to assist and contact Gawie directly. Same story however empty promises and many later he would simply hang up when contacted directly.
As a last resort I called in help from family friends who have contacts in the Home Affairs department to figure out where and if he actually did apply for this document.
6 months later the document has been traced, processed months earlier but not collected.
Do not for a moment think that GMTM Consultants can or will deliver on any service as advertised on their website
