Incredible Connection a.k.a. Incredible Deception - I walked into Incredible a few days ago and saw a Samsung notebook/pad for R9999. (Also advertised on their web page) I phoned back the next day and a salesman informed me that they didn't have any in stock but he could get one for me in couple of hours but it would cost me R12000. When I asked about the price difference, I was told that the product I saw on the shelf was recalled due to a faulty 3G modem and this was a newer model. The following morning I went to pick-up my notebook only to discover that it was exactly the same as the for one R9999.(only difference was the serial number and a working 3G modem) to make matters worse, the recalled dodgy product was still on the shelf at R9999. I complained and was told that I could get a R500 discount on an item that I was being overcharged for by R2000. I walked out only to have the salesman call me back and say that he spoke to manager and was authorized to offer it to me for R10800. I declined his kind offer and sent an e-mail to customer care explaining my "Incredible" experience. Within the hour I had the manager calling and offering it to me for the advertised price.
