In June 2013 we purchased a dining room table, 8 MATCHING chairs and a sideboard from Rochester. We were told that delivery would be 4-6 weeks. The sideboard was ordered from a catalogue as there were none in the showroom - the measurements in the brochure stated that the sideboard was 1.4m long, which was perfect as our wall is 1.5m long.
After being strung along and after numerous phone calls by us to Rochester (they never bothered to call us to update us on the delivery) we finally received the good news that our furniture would be delivered.
The sideboard that was delivered was too long for the wall - it measured 1.7m, not 1.4 as ordered. The sideboard was also black, and we ordered a brown stain. The table was the right size, but again the wrong colour. The chairs, of which we ordered 8 matching chairs, consisted of 6 of one kind and 2 of another.
The chairs are brown and the table is black.
So after waiting for 10 weeks, the ONLY part of our order that was correct, was the 2 chairs!!!
We are having no joy in sorting this out and further legal action will be sought soon. This is ridiculous and I will tell everyone I know to never buy from Rochester - they are dishonest!!!
