Gift voucher system not working

I went to Edgar's Sandton City to purchase t-shirts that are on sale [33%]and at the till point when I have to pay I gave them my gift voucher which I obtained from Edgar's Melrose arch when they ran special spend R600 or more and get a R100 gift voucher on a Sunday. Here I am being told the voucher is not showing anything on the system and asked if I'm sure if there are funds on the card and we told her if there was nothing the balance would have been R0.00 which is not in this case. Then she says the system is offline and we asked how then can I pay using my credit card if the system is offline and she says the system for gift vouchers is not working. Her stories were not accurate, kept on changing when we asked her questions, she didn't know her story. We ended up canceling our purchase as I lost trust in her, we not happy about the service she gave us, she could have gone to more senior person to assist us as the lady who was called to assist us also didn't know what she was doing.
