I noticed that I was being charged R12.95 on my account for "Account protection fee", in addition to my R32.95 monthly membership fee. I emailed Edgars explaining that I hadn't signed up for it, and wanted it stopped, as well as a refund. I received no feedback, and after 5 days went into my closest Edgars store, where I was told it had been stopped and reversed. I said I want refund for all the months I've been unknowingly paying for it. The helpful cashier put me on the phone with head office, where I spoke to an incompetent staff member by the name of Gloria, who clearly is not qualified for the job, as she was no help whatsoever. After arguing with her for a while, in vain, I asked to speak to somebody who actually COULD help me, she said she would get her manager to call me to resolve the issue. Now, two weeks later, I still have not received any sort of feedback. I am a reliable customer who keeps my account up to date, and think I deserve better. I want a refund and I will be closing my account in the near future.
