Searching bags after you left the store

I find it as a disgrace after I left the store about to go to another store the female security calls me back to search my bag at the door with all my personal belongings in there. She even opens my food aswell. I mean Game has sensors at the door so why are the security searching bags. Its a shopping mall with loads of traffic walking past while your bag is being searched.
