I had to entertain some guests at short notice, so I went to Spar Walkerville to buy some goodies, which included cheese. I bought some Simonsberg Creamy Blue cheese and some Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
The Simonsberg cheese was disgusting. It was still in a sealed wrapper, but the cheese inside was obviously old. It has a yellow hard section on one side, clearly visible. This was plastic and hard, and tasted exactly that.
The rest of the cheese was poor quality, with very little taste. It was not dry, so its difficult to understand that it could not be "spread" onto the crackers, mainly because it was similar to sillicon rubber.
I was intensely embarrased by serving this rubbish to some important guests who called at short notice to arrange a visit.
Spar should not be selling this rubbish, and Parmalat (Simonsburg) should be ashamed to produce such rubbish and then have the nerve to sell it to their customers. This cheese in NO way resembles the "same" product photo on your web site.
The Kraft cream cheese was excellent, thank goodness. I contacted Spar customer care and sent photos, but received no response. DO NOT BUY CHEESE FROM SPAR, THEY WILL NOT CARE IF ITS BAD!
