Little more than a year ago I bought 10 curtains from Woolworths (at R399 per curtain!). A few weeks ago I took down all 10 curtains and washed them as per the washing instructions (Machine washable at 40'C). After washing them, I noticed that all 10 of them had shrunk!
As we live on a farm and all 10 curtains are used to cover 1 large window and glass door, it is impossible for me to take all of them down to be replaced. It is mostly me and my daughter on the farm and having no curtains compromises our safety.
We visited the Menlyn store at the end of August to have this issue resolved. They would order the new curtains and phone as soon as they were in stock (2-4 days later). The woman who helped me (Poppie) never called again. I tried numerous times to get hold of her, with no success. Even when phoning the store and someone went to call her, I had to hold for more than 30 minutes at a time and even then my calls were just ended!
I already mailed Woolies and as they are unresponsive on this site, I will use other social media to name and shame them!
One would at least expect good customer service from them!!
