I am utterly disappointed with pick n pay, on the 13 August 2013 I went to Bara City pick n pay and when it was time to pay I PRODUCED MY GIFT CARD which I always use at other pick n pay stores.
My understanding was that the cashier verifies the signature or ask for my ID Copy, which I had with me, now what happened the cashier said she needed to ask her supervisor if they accept this, I told her to just swipe the card and if it declines then I will calmly leave and sort it out with my provider, to this she said no, I told her that this the same card I have been using with other pick n pay stores and she can just verify the signature or I can give her my ID copy as I had it with me, TO THIS she refused still waiting for her supervisor who took more than 15 minutes to come.
What happened next I could not believe because the supervisor asked me if the card has a notify alert on my phone, I told her No and if it did have, that was not her business as the alert is meant to notify the owner not her, she said, at her store they check that and if it does not have the alert unfortunately they cant help me. I reported this, and they promised to correct this but nothing happened
