On two occasions Saturday and Sunday, went to the money market to send money. The store have 6 computers to handle the money transfer transaction. Kathu is a mining village, people work from 7 am till 6. Weekdays there is more staff on duty, when it is a quite period. Weekends it is the most busiest, with the worst service. There is always long queue's that stretch outside. I approached one Sales Manager, raised my concerns. In a very patronising way, he started making excuses telling me the staff is on lunch, but made no effort to improve the situation. Again, Kathu is a mining village, the influx of customers is over a weekend period. Shoprite in the entire Northern Cape have the worst customer care approach. If they cannot offer the service, then rather close down the Money Martket. Shame on them. I will rather encourage people to use the service offer my the major banks, than standing in long queue"s like we back at the polling station. Or is is that the pathetic service is very common where the masses live...
