Toys R Us
Fails to honour gift registry service

On Friday, 26 July 2013, I visited Toys R Us (Babies R Us) to do my registry for my baby shower. I was asked if I had registered online and told them that I was not aware that I had to register online. I was given a form and told to register that evening online and phone them the next day with the login details, etc. I was therefore able to continue with my registry manually. I was told that it would be loaded by the Monday (when my guests would be expecting it to be active). I contacted them with the details and had to call back twice as it was not reflecting on the system. Finally it reflected. That was the first problem that I experienced. I then saw on the website that "The guests on your guest list will receive a message via email or sms telling them that your Wishlist is active and giving them the login details and a link so they can view your Wishlist and reserve the gifts they want to buy for your new baby" - this was never done. Thirdly, a friend of mine visited there last week to do her registry and was given a R100 voucher for Babies R Us just for registering her shower with Babies R Us - another thing that was never offered to me - please advise.
