No items ticked off registry

My friend had set up a baby registry at Woolworths and when I went to purchase against it on the 16th of February t took staff over 1/2 and hour to get the list. Thereafter finding the items I wanted to purchase I proceeded to the till where it took the staff another hour to try and find out how to tick the items off the list.

When I attended the baby shower on Sunday I found out that more than one person had the same problem at stores around Johannesburg and NOTHING was evidently ticked off the registry. More than one person had purchased the exact same gifts! How ridiculous. Why bother having a registry when you the staff cannot use it?
