I purchased about 5kg mince beef last month to cater for a dinner I was cooking for. Despite the butcher reassuring me that it was pure beef mince, it had a strange smell, texture and taste.
This month I purchased an expensive beef roll roast and despite cooking it correctly, it was so tough that I had to mince the leftovers.
I also purchased a piece of "fresh" hake, but when I cooked it that same day it did not smell fresh and had a crumbly texture.
