Yesterday I registered as a Takealot customer for the first time as I had purchased a book which was about R400 cheaper than 1 of its major competitors. I'm a diehard fan of the competition I might add but was torn between loyalty and a saving of 400 bucks, obviously the latter won. Anyway, all I saw on the Takealot site was the words "in stock" with a little British Flag advertised right next to the product. Automatically I assumed this meant that their supplier had stock and that the book would take the average 10-15 working days to deliver, which I've become accustomed to when buying from other online retailers. Now you can only imagine my surprise when I got a follow up call, no more than 4 hours after the sale, to be advised that my book would be delivered within the next 2 hours! I was left completely speechless, I think the person on the other end of the call might have heard a gasp followed by a moment of silence on my part! I KID YOU NOT.
Really impressed you guys! In an age where service delivery is of utmost importance and can either make or break a company, yours has by far exceeded any expectation! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone involved with the execution of that order!
