We decided to go the route and have our daughters matric dance made thus ensuring she would get EXACTLY what she wanted and it would fit HER perfectly. Annemarie assured us the dress would be complete in 2 weeks - 5 fittings later . when the dress arrived NONE of the final fitting alterations had been done, one sleeve was shorter than the other, the bodice draping looked nothing like our request, the right hand part of the bodice was smaller than the left, stitching was already coming undone, the strips and lace had been shorted by folding it over and TACKING it down, the final insult to injury was that the skirt was cut too short but measured between 5 cm to 13 cm off the floor in various places around the hem line! When we called Annemarie in horror - she blamed her seamstress. She offered to remake the skirt at OUR cost - we have already paid R2780 for fabric and labour. We refused to do this and demanded our money back and asked her to return the dress as we had purchased the fabric. She deposited the money and returned the dress TOTALLY UNPICKED! And in pieces. 3 days before our daughters dance we had to go out and purchase one - STAY AWAY!!!
