I went to buy a swing chair from Checkers; they were out of stock of the item apart from the floor display unit. I was expecting visitors to arrive and really wanted the chair in a hurry, and so I asked if I could purchase the display unit (the alternative was to get one from the warehouse).
The lady working in the area was fantastic, as she needed permission from her manager to sell the floor unit, and spent more than half an hour trying to find him, eventually tracking him down on another colleague's phone. She explained the situation to him and got his permission.
Two guys then disassembled the chair for me, taking care to do as little as possible - I'd asked for that as it would mean less assembly work for me at home - and taking on the packing into my car as a personal challenge (it was quite a puzzle).
Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of the lady I dealt with as I left reporting this incident too long! And I didn't ask for the names of the guys who helped with the disassembly and packing of the chair. I would really like to thank and commend all three staff members for their friendliness, helpfulness and really going the extra mile for a customer. Thank you!!
