In the beginning of August I purchased some items from Checkers to the value of R112.97- when I wanted to pay I had R60 cash, so I asked the cashier if I could pay partly cash, and the rest on my card. She accidentally rung up R160 cash (more than I had with me and bigger than my bill). When I asked what should we do now, not one of the 3 managers were able to help me. I was there for literally 27 minutes when I decided to hand them my ID, take the goods and go home as I was now already more than half an hour late for my meeting. I went back the following morning to pay the outstanding amount - when there would be a manager who can help me with the problem. Somebody who would actually know how to sort it out. The manager on duty was unable to assist me. I had to come up with a plan myself. When I complained that not one of the 4 managers who assisted in the process was able to help, I got a dirty look and the manager turned her back on me and walked away. After spending more than 40 minutes all together trying to pay a R112, 97 bill I feel that Checker's managers are inadequate to deal with certain customer issues. NOT COOL.
