I had a Canal walk gift card and I used it to buy a pair of levi sneakers from the Ecko Unltd store. The gift card was R50 less than the cost of the shoes so I handed over my cheque card to pay the difference. Behind the counter, a lady took over from the young guy who was helping me at first (I think his name was Jade or something similar), and she must have accidently made the full payment with my cheque card after he'd already used the gift card.
I called back a couple days later when I realized, and the same guy (Jade?) answered and instantly remembered me and was very happy I called because he had also realized the mistake. He took down my number and called back a few minutes later to get my banking details. His attitude was helpful, apologetic and kind. I just got the amount back in my bank today.
Thank you for great service, we all make mistakes, but it's great to see someone handle a client situation with such a great attitude. I wish all South African service was like this gentleman at Ecko Unltd's.
