We were interested in buying a Samsung Smart 3D TV. I phoned on Sunday, 18 August 2013 and spoke to Lindile I inquired about the Samsung Smart 3D TV and was offered a 40" Smart 3D TV for R6699.00 she confirmed that the price is usually R9500.00 but that they can offer it to us at R6699.00. We were very excited and drove through to buy our new TV. On arrival Lindile wasn't available, even though she said that I must please ask for her when I get in store. I had to wait for her for half and hour after which I was told that she is not available, a colleague of hers then showed us around and explained the different TV's. He then explained that he doesn't even have the model that was offered to us but that we can decide between a smart or 3D TV. We decided to go with the 3D and signed all documentation related to the TV license when my husband wanted to pay he was informed that the price is R9500.00 and not R6699.00 as was offered to us. We left the store two hours later without any TV. Coming from a legal background I am aware that the CPA protects consumer against this kind of behavior. I would like to be compensated for the poor services and the misrepresentation that was made.
