Dear Sir/ Madam
I would like to lodge a formal complaint and thus demand a written apology from Edcon on behalf of your employee, Lorraine Chauke, Edgars, Brooklyn. This is after a very embarrassing and/or humiliating encounter at the store this afternoon.
I used my husband's card as I always do for my purchases. She asked if we are linked and I said yes. I left. As I was about to exit the store, I saw her approaching and she forcefully grabbed the bags from me saying I I am not linked.
I tried to explain to her my understanding and gave her my I.d book which she through back at me.
I called my husband who came to the store to verify the account. The matter was sorted by the risk manager, Justice. I did mention to Justice that I think an apology is overdue because I was treated like a criminal. Lorraine showed arrogance and did not apologise.
I strongly believe this is not acceptable, my misunderstanding of being linked, not forging my husband's signature, producing my i.d and being a customer does not quantify being humiliated like that, calling security personnel and causing a scene infront of other customers. The least she could have done call me, explain to me what is happ
