Following tyre fitment and balancing at TWT Hatfield the technician in question was required to manually bend the bracket housing the ABS sensor cable in order to adjust the camber angle bolts. The technician subsequently failed to bend the bracket back to the original position, resulting in the ABS sensor cable being shaved through. This activated the vehicle ABS light and prevented subsequent movement of the vehicle from my place of work.
The vehicle manufacturer required the towing and storage of the vehicle before applying corrective maintenance measures for the vehicle to become driveable again. This negligence on behalf of TWT directly resulted in a cost of R5113.19 being incurred. Subsequent attempts to recover the costs from TWT Hatfield, despite a statement from the manufacturer technician stating that adjusting the camber angle bolts after physically bending the bracket (and failing to bend it back down) DIRECTLY resulted in the ABS wiring being shaved through.
To date, the arrogant attitude of TWT Hatfield blankly denying their involvement (despite the relevant paperwork showing that the negligent work was carried out) has resulted in loss of income by us.
