Utterly disgusted

We bought an item from the Wonderpark branch and wanted to exchange with something else and went to our nearset store in Ga-rankuwa. We couldn't find the similiar item or anything we liked so thought we could get our money back. To our surprise, my mother was told that the store doesn't refund cash!!! WHAT???

Do you force customers to take/buy things they don't want nor need???
The funny part is that she was told by the lady named Thami who is apparently the store manager. She then has the ordesity to tell my mother that if she has queries or complaints, she can call the head office.
This is very bad customer service and if this is how you treat people, you can kiss my money good-bye
