Just been to Chanel kiosk at Edgar's Sandton where a bevy if eager shoppers were left without any assistance, for a considerable time, whilst two lasses who seed to have no connection to Chanel were making up some ladies and completely ignored those of us standing around. Three of us shoppers eventually served ourselves, by digging through the concealed drawers. I could have walked right out without paying but instead Went to the MAC counter next door who pointed me back in the direction of Chanel pay point. When I went back there were two personnel who had ambled back after 'lunch'. Very aggrieved they let me know that they were short staffed, yet two were off simultaneously. Why? Does no one value the jobs they have? Or are we destined to continue with the poor service culture. It's online for me from here. The staff have no real knowledge of their products anyway so it's a crapshoot. I would rather take my chances online. Sadly no one else keeps Chanel so I have no other choices. Never really liked Edgar's and they have once again confirmed my feelings.
