On Thursday 25 July 2013 I went to Markhams in Sasolburg to apply for account facilities. On Friday 26 July at 14:52 I received the following sms: "MNR LOCKE, your Sterns card with R1575 credit is waiting! Collect your new card at ur nearest store this weekend & remember your ID! From 27870441986. This morning I went to Sterns at Vaalmall in Vanderbijlpark, as it is the closest store to my house. I was informed that the application was declined. After I provided them with the sms I was told to submit 3months bank statements again. I feel it is totally unneccesary as I have already received the sms stating that the account was approved. How does it work?
