I purchased a Alpine leather lounge suit (dark brown leather) in March 2010 for R 43 000.00 after about 20 months the leather started to fade to almost white in certain places that got sun. After I called Alpine head office and they came and assessed the "sun damage" i was told that this specific leather is very sun sensitive and that the suit came with "tags" telling us that (which it NEVER DID) and even if it did, how does one justify selling a leather (full leather) for just over R 40 k and it cant see sun?? Whos Lounge has ZERO sun?? Then Alpine recovered a few panels and i paid R 1000.00 for the collection and the delivery. I have since bought throw's for my priceless R 43 k lounge suit to hide it from the sun and still in a few places that the sun "sneaks" through it fades to a horrific white colour. Alpine then collected my suite to on the 4th July 2013 after endless emails and phone calls and again and i was told that they would not repair unless i pay for the repair. Is this what you get for buying "quality"
