I was given a jersery as a birthday gift but unfortunately it's big. I took the jersey back to Foschini with tags still on to exchange it, note that it was a birthday gift still unworn with tags. The lady said because the jersey in now on sale from R345 to R145 I will forfeit the R200 because I do not have the receipt. I told her that it was a birthday gift there is just no way i could have the receipt, she said i could take anything which is priced at R145 coz the item is on sale for that amount.
Dont think there's someone sane who will allow foschini or any store to just take their money just like that. The item was bought for R345 now I can exchange it for any item which is priced at R145, that is ridiculous!
I guess when one buys me a gift from foschini i have to request the receipt! I'm glad I get rid off the store cards which they always send me!
