Shocking Service from Foschini Cresta

I purchase a gift card for my daughter - my first usage of the Foschini account. Unfortunately in the mass of gift papers, the card was lost. I contacted the helpline on the receipt. I was told to call the store because Helpline could not help. I contacted the store. Disaster. Apparently there is no register of gift cards anywhere in Foschini. Apparently helpline is wrong. Apparently I am the problem. But my absolute best was when I asked why Helpline would tell me one thing, and the store another, I was told to hold. The phone was then left unattended for almost 8 minutes. Too difficult to answer so just leave me holding - so that I might go away? Well I held. Only to be told that I must listen to the store tell me there is no register. In this electronic age, Foschini dont keep a register of gift cards? That are purchased via an account? If I must forefit the amount loaded on the card, so be it. My complaint is that two departments tell me two different things, and that the person at the store just hoped I would go away. So I will. Job well done Foschini!!! You will not ever have to deal with me again at Cresta - or any other of your stores.
