Returns policy a blatant lie

Don't believe a word Pick 'n pay tell you about their return guarantee.

I bought a heater from Pick 'n pay which broke during the warranty period. When I tried to return the faulty product, the staff said that since they do not stock the item anymore, I need to find a store that does stock the heater in order to get a replacement. I live in Centurion and they told me I would have to go to Johannesburg (40km away) to try and return it.

Their return policy says absolutely nothing about this rule and although I had complied with all their return policy requirements, the staff and manager were unwilling to help me in any way.

Not only did they refuse to replace the faulty item they sold me, they wouldn't even help me find out where I could return the product.

If this is the type of treatment I can expect from them, I will gladly shop at their competitors from now on.
