I was trying on a few items of clothing in a changing room when I had mistakenly bumped a security tag on a pair of pants while I was taking it off. The security tag was an alarm that had began to scream piercingly like a car alarm. I was so embarrassed when I heard people in the change room ask what that racket was and people in the queue stared at me as I exited with something sounding like a car alarm amongst the clothes I was carrying. I couldn't help but think that they thought I had tampered with the tag with dishonest intentions. I am most mad because bumping the tag while trying something on is reasonable and expected, I certainly had NO intention of tampering with the tag, but I was caused such distress and embarrassment due to no fault of mine.
I have been a loyal Edgars customer for many years, but I will not return to your stores again if I am made to feel like a criminal.
