My partner and I went to JDG to purchase a bed on credit which was taken out in his name, We decided on the Slumberland Sheridan Queen Base Set which was advertised as 3999.95 with a monthly instalement of R267 x 24 Months with an interest of 21% the Total payable was 6390.52. However when we got to the store it the installment changed to R526pm due to service fees and insurance (even though on the fine print it said that the monlthly installement includes all service fees and interest ect...) If I calculate R526 x 24 Months that gives me R12624.00 that is nearly double the amount advertised. How is it possible that insurance and service fees is almost the price of the item we bought?
Something doesnt add up.
