PnP hyper PE - Not impressive

Good Day
My husband has his own catering business and DAILY goes to the local PnP hyper for
his groceries of about R600 every day. Every evening, after work, he goes to the same store.
We are familiar with the staff as we see them on a daily basis. But yesterday, after a lengthy
church service, we knew we were going to be late for our daily stop at the store, particularly for the special pack of bacon cuts, that none of the supermarkets seem to stock. We got to the store just after 15h00
which is the closing time. After an embarrassing 20 min of begging for assistance to buy only the
packet of bacon and the refusal from the store manager to even acknowledge us, how terribly
disappointed we were to find that this is how they treat regular customers. No effort to
acknowledge us, to try and assist us, just a terrible 'tough luck'. We fully accept and acknowledge
that we had missed the store closing by 5 min, but maybe it was crazy to expect a little extra
personal effort from anyone! Sad to say PnP has lost a loyal customer and we will be doing
our daily shopping at the Spar instead.
