We bought a vacuum cleaner from checkers in December 2012, it recently stopped working so we returned it to checkers n1 city, 1st off we were told that the guarantee is no longer valid due to the fact that the plug had been changed, I'd like to see this in writing sometime as it does not affect the operation of the machine in any way.
on closer inspection it was noted that the machine had gotten water into it thus causing the malfunction, upon asking the manager if he could have it sent away to be repaired for us (at our own expense) we were told that they (checkers) don't do that which in my opinion is utter rubbish.
my gripes are simple, what has a plug being changed got to do with the guarantee? and secondly, you were quick to take my money when i bought the machine, but your after sales service really... why?
needless to say that i left the machine at the branch as it is totally useless to me, they can chuck it out with their rubbish... saves me on bin space
