I bought a pair of men brown leather boots to the value of R950 in Dec 2012 not knowing the Hush puppy brand, but was assured by the sales person at Cresta that I will be covered by a 6 month warranty.
1. In May I realized that the shoe had a small tear on the top of the shoe on the leather on the bend by the toe! I've only worn these boots a max of 3 days a week if not less...
2. From the first polish and the first wear the shoe looked like it hasn't been polished at all (Even though it has been polished with the "Hush puppy" branded brown polish).
When I took it back to the Cresta shop within the 6 month warranty period, the store manager advised that she'll send the shoes to the head office and Marshall will contact me within 7 days (Never happened).
I contacted Marshall myself where the response was that he can see the damage, but has to get permission from his MD on the resolution and he will revert back (Never happened).
I called several times where I was eventually told the tear is due to "wear & tear" and the discolouring was the nature of the leather! Unbelievable! Marshall said there is nothing he can do for me.
This is not the last you'll hear from me
