Unneccessary confusion

I bought a watch for R2009 on a 6 months plan on 07 April 2013. My calculations say I should be paying about R350/month. I made a payment of R300 at the end of April and another one of R400 at the end of May. To my surprise, today 14 June 2013, I received an sms that said my account is in arreas by about R714 and the amount due is R1438. How is this possible? I even have an interest added to my account of R29.50. This is messing up my credit record unneccessarily. Will someone please do their mathematics correctly as this is unacceptible.
