Pick 'n Pay
Expired Baby Formula

I bought SMA infant formula from Pick 'n Pay in Rosebank. Now this happened every two weeks due to the size of the tins. Rosebank Pick 'n Pay was the most convenient and accessable due to me having worked in Rosebank. On 2 occassions I bought formula already past it's expirt date. Now the one tin my baby who was 10 weeks at the time consumed of it and became ill and was diagnosed with Gastroentritus by our GP. The second tin was returned (sealed to the store also expired) I lodged my complaint with the store manager Necha Dubazana and had constant communication with her. Out of goodwill Necha gave me flowers and chocolates as a gesture of apology on behalf of the store. She further gave me a form and advised that I send her the medical expenses vouchers for Pick n Pay to refund me because I had to pay for doctor's visits due to my baby being sick of expired formula. I had and still have a long battle with Pick 'n Pay and eventually decided to seek legal assistance from an attorney whom I used to work with. When Pick 'n Pay was made aware that I have sought legal assistance all turned nasty because now they are down right refusing to re-imburse me for the medical expenses...
