Went into HiFi Corp here in Pietermaritzburg on Friday to look for a Gas Stove.
Found a 4 burner Kelvinator on the floor, to which the salesman said it was R2299.00.
We returned today, Saturday 19 January, to purchase the stove.
Made it all the way to the door we i inspected the stove to find the side had two dents on it.
The staff said they would bring another.
The second stove was brought to the front and this also had a small dent in the side.
The manager arrived and looked at the stove and then went to the back of the shop, no greeting.
The salesman then said i could take the display stove but this was also not in "new" condition.
I then called for the manager who then nonchalantly proceeded to tell me i had the option of taking a stove now or ordering a new one which would take two weeks. He was quite happy to give a refund when i said i would purchase somewhere else.
No apology made, no concern made nothing. He then said the stove was already discounted from R2399 but this was never made mention till i asked for some sort of compensation.
Overall disgusting service. Will not recommend them to anyone and Kelvinator will be made aware.
