Firstly, I wanted to look at some coffee mugs, but the staff were more interested in their own conversation than to move aside to let me take a look, I actually had to go away and come back later so I could look at the products which was rather annoying.
Then I decided on a Boston Hot Chocolate beverage which was advertised on the shelf for R22.99, only to see on the far right hand side the same box advertised for R29.99. Of course at the till it was R29.99, when I asked for this to be checked, they came back with the price tag or R29.99 and were not terribly interested to offer any further assistance. I know for a fact it was on the shelf for R22.99 because I still went back to double check.
So, what is the actual price?
Is this how consumers get taken for a ride if they dont' check out the prices at the till?
This is not the first time either, I've had many similar incidents, but today I really got annoyed because I'd already spent about 10 minutes trying to choose the product closes to my very tight budget.
Of course I left the product, I refuse to be taken for a financial ride, even if it's ony for A few Rand as some would say, I don't have a few Rand to throw around.
