Utilising a Mall vouche

5 weeks ago- I presented a Sandton City Mall voucher, which may be utilised at other Liberty owned malls, to pay for a purchase. During the transaction, the service consultant swiped this card with the full amount-R1000, and was then told by her collegue, that she had made a mistake and to void the transaction. Which she then did- obviously the funds had already come off the card- the amount was also incorrect, as she had swiped one purchase twice. She then kept the card- which was my mistake, as I should have insisted that she return it to me- this same card- has now gone missing- miraculously. For 5 weeks, I have tried to sort this out- I have been told that since they don't have the card number- there is very little they can do for me- regardless of the fact that this in fact was their mistake. I have has to make numerous phone calls to find the status of how this is being resolved. I have also been privy to e-mails sent to Liberty Life with regards to this card- and not once have they acknowledged that they have in fact lost the card- in fact the e-mail read- that there were insufficient funds on the card- which of course was incorrect- as the card had already been swiped.
